4 minutes > 16 weeks

so today we got our project back for architecture class and i got a 54 on it because i walked into class and turned it in at 8:34, 4 minutes late.  i was getting a A- in that class and the project would've been a 92.  so i went to go talk to the professor, who i thought was a pretty mellow, cool guy, and he lectured me about how 8:30 is 8:30 and 8:34 is 8:34, it's been his policy for 30 years...blah blah blah.  then he looks at my project and my grades for the semester and says "well, other than turning it in late this was an outstanding project...oh, it says here that you're getting a solid A in this class...and you have one of the highest test averages in the class, that's very good..."  i think he was proud of himself that he could fuck my 16 weeks of work for 4 god damn minutes.

so i guess my watch couldve been slow and his couldve been fast, who knows, but if cops give and take 5 mph to take into account of speedometer and radar gun errors, why can't he use a 5 minute grace period cuz everyone's watches are different?  oh i know why, cuz he's an asshole.

there was an extra credit paper but it was due last friday, i asked him if i could still do that, and i'm sure you can guess what his answer was.

lucky me, i'm in his studio class next semester and a study abroad course in japan over the summer too.

time to go do my gay art project that's due tomorrow, and then off to work.  fuck, there's finally a swell in town and i dont even have time to go surf.

i love you too god

Malik Joyeux, a pro surfer, died at pipeline the other day after wiping out right under the lip.  he was only 25 and he was known for riding huge ass waves, he caught the biggest wave ever at teahupo'o.

on another note, let me introduce you to my quiver, from right to left, whitey, sunshine, and no name yet, suggestions anyone?

if i get a 9' board this would look like the cingular at&t commercials

"...an out of season strong storm SE of New Zealand this past Tuesday into Thursday is expected to deliver moderate to borderline high surf starting next Thursday from 180-200 degrees. The area SE of New Zealand shows two more storms, one this weekend, and one mid next week, making nearly back to back moderate episodes..."
